We have worked side by side for more than fifteen years developing and successfully running businesses in the food and beverage industries.
Having professional careers in the engineering and accounting fields, we, Bob and June Petitt, set our sights on Port Aransas, Texas. There we opened the Port Aransas Brewing Company, brewing beer and serving pizzas and burgers. Early on, Texas Monthly Magazine dropped by unannounced, and surprised us with a spot on the "Top 50 Burgers in the State of Texas".
Shortly thereafter, Beaches Cafe & Bakery was opened a block away, featuring BBQ, steaks, seafood, and, of course, fresh baked items.
Having sold both locations and returning to North Texas, we began to look for new opportunities. We had developed a passion for the fermentation process, and an exceptional team of family members who understood how important attention to detail is.
Christian Belle Winery, and it's sister company 1845 Distilling Company, were established in 2016 allowing us to continue the family legacy.
Our Texas family roots extend eight generations deep. Our French Cajun New Orleans roots extend equally as deep. Christian Belle Winery, named in honor of our grandchildren, is the perfect blending of the two very distinct cultures.
